DocOfficeRx was initially developed by Healthcare Support Services (HCSS, Inc.), a Medical Billing and Practice Management Services company who has been in operation since 1993. Healthcare Support Services, a sister company to HST, originally developed DocOfficeRx as an internal tool for increasing the productivity and efficiency of medical billing staff members. The goal was to provide staff with a tool that delivered an accurate and standardized way to perform daily billing functions. With this new tool, the billing staff was able to focus more of their time on the all-important task of unpaid insurance claim follow-up.

Healthcare Support Services (www.webhss.com) experienced drastic productivity improvements through DocOfficeRx and, along with the increasing insurance requirements and practice expenses, recognized that other providers could take advantage of the product and realize these same benefits.
